Job Description

The Program and

Operations Coordinator leads key programming and administrative functions that

strengthen HEAT’s service delivery, internal systems, and strategic

initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of impact and efficiency,

supporting both frontline engagement and back-end operations. The manager

partners closely with the Executive Director, team members, and consultants to

translate vision into execution, leveraging data, technology, and collaboration

to drive outcomes.

Core Responsibilities include:

The role supports donor engagement, social media, grant

writing, fundraising events, and marketing materials development.

The role oversees statewide energy assistance application

processing, data collection and reporting, staff supervision, and

development of program policies and goals.

Managing daily office functions, IT and HR systems,

budgeting, compliance, vendor coordination, and maintaining client

confidentiality.

Collect client stories to include

in Heat’s marketing materials.

Oversee mail and document

workflows, meeting coordination, and organizational calendars.

Assist in

scheduling meetings, events, and appointments.

Skills and Requirements

A minimum of 5 - 7 years of

experience in nonprofit operations, program management, or a closely

related role

Proficiency in budgeting and cloud tools

Experience with program tracking software and

QuickBooks

strong communication skills, and a commitment to equity

and community service. Knowledge of and experience with

Donor Perfect or other donor software packages such as Raisers Edge or

Blackbaud

Knowledge of energy assistance

programs or utility affordability issues

Experience working with Black,

Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities, grassroots

organizations, and Georgia-based nonprofits
