    This position requires an employee to be onsite at Vadnais Heights, Minnesota at least 50% of the time, with some opportunity to perform work from a telework location.

    As the Human Resources Support Technician, you will provide administrative support to Direct Care and Treatment managers, supervisors, employees and other human resources staff, such as providing support on personnel issues, providing general administrative support, and scanning and validating personnel documents into an electronic document management system.

    Principal responsibilities/major tasks include:

    + Assist, inform, advise and consult with employees, supervisors, and/or managers on personnel related policies, procedures and practices as well as collective bargaining agreements and plans

    + Perform administrative duties to maintain efficient operation of the HR unit

    + Function as the human resources representative for new employee orientation (NEO), ensuring pre-employment and first day compliance requirements are met and conducting necessary follow-up with supervisors and/or human resources staff

    + Create, manipulate, and run reports from a variety of software systems and applications as needed or requested

    + Monitor and assist with background studies for job candidates and employees

     

    As the HR Support Technician, you will be required to travel occasionally to DCT locations to provide HR support to new employees during New Employee Orientation (NEO).

    Minimum Qualifications

    1 year of experience performing administrative or clerical duties in a human resource setting that demonstrates the following:

    + Experience working with a Human Resources, benefits, or similar type of transactional processing database.

    + Performing a variety of administrative program support functions that includes application and interpretation of statute, policies and procedures, and/or rules and regulations.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Working knowledge of the AFSCME, MAPE, MMA and MNA collective bargaining agreements; Commissioners and Managerial Plans; and rules and laws (i.e. FMLA, Affirmative Action and Data Practices) that affect Human Resources.

    + Working knowledge of SEMA4.
