    Job Summary and Responsibilities

     

    As a Cook at St. Vincent, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives and Dignity Health, you will provide exceptional patient care in an environment where quality, respect, caring and compassion are at the center of all we do.

     

    To be successful as a cook, you should be able to use various cooking techniques and methods to prepare meals that meet our customers’ expectations. Ultimately, a top-notch cook should be able to handle multiple food orders without compromising on quality.

     

    + Prepares menu items according to standard recipes

    + Maintains equipment in kitchen to standard

    + Maintains kitchen area to state required sanitary standards

    + Completes all tasks on duty while adhering to safety standards and policies of the hospital

    Job Requirements

    + Two years Food Service experience required. Cooking experience is strongly preferred.

    + High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Current (within the past 12 months) ServSafe® Allergen and Food Handler Certifications. If not currently certified, certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

    Pay Range

    $16.00 - $22.14 /hour
