Job Overview
The Product Development Engineer provides solutions for the development of high-speed bulk cable products used in Data Centers. This position interacts directly with Manufacturing Process Development Engineering, Quality Engineering, Cable Assembly Engineering, Test Engineering, Raw Materials suppliers, Tool & Fixture Design Engineering, 3rd Party Regulatory & Standards Organizations. This position is responsible for the Design & Development, and overall Validation activities required for High-Speed Bulk Cable Product.
Job Requirements
• Design/Product Development/Documentation
• Support Manufacturing Process Development
• Interact with Test Lab on Product Testing and Validation activities.
• Interact with Cable Assembly to ensure product fully meets expectations. Correlate bulk cable data to cable assembly SI/Physical test data.
• Explore new Raw Materials for Product Development and Improvement activities.
• Interact with SI Engineer on Modeling & Test Development activities.
• Interact with Bulk Cable PDEs/MPDEs in sister plants.
• Support all EH&S Activities.
• Provide Technical Presentations to Internal & External Customers as required.
• Support SAFE Activities
• Support ISO Activities
• Provide any support for any activities or projects necessary to support the business.
What your background should look like
• Minimum of 3-5 years years of experience
• BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering Degree preferred.
• Knowledge of Wire & Cable Manufacturing a plus.
• Experience with Reliability Testing/Engineering a plus.
• Prior Experience in a Product Development environment required.
• Working knowledge of Network Analyzers and S-Parameters a plus.
• CAD Experience a plus.
• Knowledge of high-speed bulk cable design & manufacturing a plus.
