Duties Description The Project Manager for the Advancing Success in Associate Pathways | Advancing Completion through Engagement (ASAP|ACE) Data Integration Project will lead the development and implementation of a centralized data system for SUNY ASAP|ACE, which is the largest replication of the evidence-based completion model in the nation. Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Success and Transformational Initiatives, this position is key to managing communications between campus partners, external consultants, and SUNY System Administration to ensure the project is completed successfully. The Project Manager will conduct assessments of campus data capacity and infrastructure, facilitate the integration of data from various sources into a centralized online data system, develop and lead training and professional development of campus staff in use of data for program management purposes, and support a culture of continuous improvement by ensuring the system supports data-driven decision-making for program management and evaluation purposes.The Project Manager will work closely with SUNY's Office of Student Success leadership and external consultants to design and implement the new data system. This role will require collaboration with both internal and external teams, as well as the ability to manage and navigate the complexities of a multi-campus project. This role requires flexibility, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the future of the ASAP|ACE program by improving how campuses track and utilize data to enhance student success. The role also requires a proactive and collaborative approach to campus engagement, building trust, anticipating challenges, and providing hands-on support to help campuses adopt and sustain the new data system.Key Responsibilities: - Manage all aspects of the project, ensuring milestones are met, and deliverables are completed within scope and on schedule.- Communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including campus leaders, SUNY System Administration, external consultants, external funders, and campus IT teams.- Facilitate the integration of data from diverse campus sources into a centralized system, ensuring it supports real-time access to student engagement and academic outcomes. While not requiring coding expertise, the Project Manager will act as the liaison between technology consultants and campus users, translating functional needs into technical requirements to ensure the system aligns with both campus operations and system-level goals.- Develop and implement a training and communication program for campus and System Administration staff, using webinars, group calls, shared resources (such as templates, guidance documents, or collaboration platforms like SharePoint) to promote consistent understanding and effective use of the new system.- Provide ongoing, proactive support to campus and System Administration teams including check-ins, troubleshooting, and guidance to help staff integrate the system into their day-to-day operations and sustain effective data use.- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the data system and reporting tools.- Ensure that key performance indicators are tracked and used to guide program management.- Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and alignment between campus teams, external consultants, and SUNY System Administration.
Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Project Management, Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, etc.).- Minimum five years of experience in project management, preferably in higher education or a similar setting, involving adoption of a data development/integration project.- Familiarity with higher education data environments and platforms such as Banner, Starfish, Argos, or comparable systems is strongly preferred.- Experience working with diverse teams, including campus staff, external consultants, and IT professionals.- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.- Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and emerging challenges.- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical staff.- Knowledge of data-driven decision-making, student engagement, and program evaluation is a plus.
Additional Comments - Salary is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, training, and certifications.
