    Description

    Responsible for providing technical expertise in support of nuclear plants. Performs advanced engineering tasks or other special projects requiring original concepts and a high level of experience and expertise necessary for the operation of the nuclear units. Works independently performs engineering tasks with little or no precedence acts as a consultant to supervision. Ability to apply nuclear industry standards and regulations for new situations. Has management skills for facilitation of team actions for problem solving including conflict resolution to assure progress. Heat exchanger program engineer. Review HX inspection results including coordination with NDE personnel. Support making recommendations for maintaining program heat exchanger reliability. Perform Heat exchanger margin calculations. Support maintenance evolutions and support recommendations for deficient conditions. Support monitoring of program health and perform assessments. Provide regulatory oversight for generic letter 89-13 heat exchangers. Update procedures. Perform calculations supporting maintaining design criteria and licensing basis. Provide tube plugging criteria. Long and intermediate term plans for timely HX replacement. Routine performance monitoring. Maintain program processes that confirm that maintenance practices operating procedures and training are appropriate based on service conditions and are sufficient to ensure the equipment will function as intended. This job is responsible for performing engineering activities that support projects and operations across the nuclear business. Employees in this role apply broad nuclear plant engineering experience and principles to make decisions and recommendations. Individuals work with independence and have wide latitude to exercise judgment over technical solution development. Position will be remote. 20-40 hours per week depending on demand. Will potentially require some night shift support/coverage.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
