Job Title: Construction ManagerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee and manage various aspects of site safety, project scheduling, and material availability. The role involves providing constructability feedback during design phases, managing adherence to safety standards, and reviewing scope change requests.

Responsibilities

+ Manage site safety, including performing safety audits.

+ Provide constructability feedback during design and walk down phases.

+ Offer scheduling input and assist with managing material availability.

+ Review and manage scope change requests.

+ Ensure adherence to safety prints and standards.

Essential Skills

+ At least 10 years of construction management experience.

+ Proficiency in Word and Excel.

+ Knowledge of OSHA safety policies.

+ Experience with ComEd safety policies.

+ Strong skills in construction, estimation, and change order management.

+ Experience in construction inspection and management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent work experience.

+ Experience with transmission and substation construction is highly desired.

+ Nuclear power project management experience preferred.

+ High-level knowledge of transmission rebuild and substation installation.

+ Electrical utility experience is highly desired.

Work Environment

This position is based on-site at the Byron, IL Nuclear facility, working five days a week with potential for 5-10 hours of overtime weekly. The role requires the use of a cellular phone, air card for internet, laptop, and base personal protective equipment (Class E Hardhat, Safety Glasses, FR Clothing, FR Safety Vest, Steel Toe Work Boots) provided by the supplier.

This is a Contract position based out of Byron, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
