Overview:

We're currently hiring a Wastewater Technician for a long term contract in Newport News, VA.

Description:

+ Operate the Chemical Wastewater & Oily Wastewater Treatment facilities.

+ Ensuring the removal or reduction of heavy metals and/or other contaminants prior to discharge.

+ Monitors unit processes (equalization, chemical addition, filtration, etc.) and adjusts flow rates, chemical federates and other variables to properly treat wastewater handled by these facilities.

+ Collects and analyzes wastewater samples, identifying chemical properties and contaminants to determine required treatment processes and/or evaluate plant operating performance.

Qualifications:

+ US Citizenship.

+ High School Diploma.

+ 2 years of relevant experience.

+ Treatment /Plant Operator/Technical Operations Control experience is highly desirable.

Additional Information:

+ Pay Rate: $25-$30/hr.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
