    Join a leading global bio-pharmaceutical company specializing in generic sterile injectable manufacturing as an Environmental Monitoring Analyst I. This role involves participating in the Environmental Monitoring Team responsible for the viable and non-viable monitoring of manufacturing areas, including air, water, and surface sampling. The job includes logging samples in a proprietary LIMS and adhering to cGMP documentation practices. Analysts will also handle water, product, and commodity samples and perform bioburden testing.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct viable and non-viable environmental monitoring of manufacturing areas.

    + Log samples in a proprietary LIMS and adhere to cGMP documentation practices.

    + Process water, product, and commodity samples and perform bioburden testing.

    + Assist Supervisors in training new hires and integrating them into the pharmaceutical industry.

    + Act as an interim lead for the supervisor as needed.

    + Participate in process improvement initiatives.

    + Perform bioburden testing on water and pharmaceutical product samples.

    + Test commodities for non-viable or viable particulates.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related life science field with 0-1+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in environmental monitoring.

    + Associates degree or HS diploma with 1-2 years of environmental monitoring experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

    + Experience in gowning and sampling in an aseptic manufacturing environment.

    + Familiarity with LIMS and MODA sample tracking system.

    + Knowledge of cGMP manufacturing and clean room practices.

    + Understanding of aseptic lab processing and bioburden testing.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with pharmaceutical lab setup.

    Work Environment

    The role operates within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, requiring interaction with both the manufacturing floor and the laboratory. The position involves 80% work in the manufacturing areas for sampling and 20% in the lab. The work schedule is on a day shift with a 2,2,3 rotating pattern from 7am to 7pm. Gowning is necessary due to working in Grade A, B, C, and D classified areas, and candidates must be comfortable with gowning in tight spaces without makeup, fake nails, or jewelry. The team comprises 45-50 people split across day and night shifts, with analysts working in teams of 5-8 under four supervisors.

    This is a Contract position based out of ROCKY MOUNT, NC.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
