Description We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This contract-to-permanent position offers a great opportunity to contribute to financial operations and ensure accuracy in accounting processes. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in corporate tax, sales tax, and general ledger management, combined with exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in alignment with company standards.

• Post and reconcile journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing and accuracy.

• Support payroll operations while maintaining meticulous recordkeeping.

• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability.

• Assist with audit preparations and provide necessary documentation to auditors.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures.

• Analyze financial data and contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.

• Collaborate with various departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve processes.

• Maintain expertise in corporate and sales tax regulations, applying knowledge to tax filings and returns. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

• Proficiency in corporate tax, sales tax, and preparing corporate tax returns.

• Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger management.

• Advanced skills in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with internal controls and compliance standards.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.

• Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments.
