Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Auditor to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Liverpool, New York. This role involves conducting payroll audits for various labor unions across New York State and ensuring compliance with county-specific guidelines. Extensive training will be provided to help you succeed, with the potential for growth within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Perform payroll audits for a variety of labor unions, including plumbers, laborers, and asbestos workers.

• Generate detailed reports outlining audit findings and recommendations.

• Review employee rates and ensure adherence to county-specific regulations.

• Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies identified during audits.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to audit processes.

• Communicate findings effectively to stakeholders and assist in implementing corrective actions.

• Utilize internal audit programs to ensure compliance with organizational standards.

• Stay updated on relevant labor and payroll regulations to enhance audit accuracy.

• Participate in ongoing training to improve auditing skills and knowledge.

• Contribute to long-term organizational goals by delivering high-quality audit results.

Requirements • Proven experience in accounting or auditing roles.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes.

• Familiarity with payroll systems and labor union regulations is an advantage.

• Proficiency in generating and reviewing financial reports.

• Excellent communication skills to present audit findings clearly.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in audit practices.
