We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.
Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary
This role is responsible for the planning, supervision, development and execution of specialized and complex audits. Applies audit expertise to resolve more advanced, complex audit elements, including risks escalated by the Audit staff. Responsible for identifying and prioritizing risks and determining mitigating controls. May serve on audit teams as a team lead, member, or consultant; reviews work papers and provides feedback, as needed. Advocates for data analytics practices within the team. Communicates audit results to management through written reports and oral presentations. Provides informed advice and counsel to management on issues. Provides guidance on internal and external reporting and presentations (including management and audit committee presentations). Contributes to departmental planning activities and provides significant contribution toward attainment of department goals. Actively involved in risk assessment and audit planning activities to provide insight based on specialized knowledge. Responsible for assigned processes, projects, and/or initiatives within Audit Services. Monitors relevant industry events to identify potential audit risks to company. Researches and communicates audit and industry trends and topics related to new and emerging risks, audit planning, etc. Involved in providing clients with advice to improve and optimize internal controls, enhance and transform internal audit approach and methodologies, and perform risk assessments. Typically, this position is limited to individuals with expert knowledge or highly developed skills in a specific area or discipline. The role may have Non-Dominion Energy Workers (NDEWs) report to them.
Specific projects will include:
+ Develop implementation plans for new Institute of Internal Auditors’ Topical Requirements
+ Refine and socialize the Audit Services Business Segment Risk Maps
+ Assist in implementation of Audit Services AI Strategy
+ Develop presentations for CEO and Audit Committee
+ Update and maintain Audit Services policy documentation
+ Independently research audit topics, risk areas, and strategy to advise on audit improvements
+ Assist on audit and advisory engagements as assigned.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
8+ years of general audit experience; or 7+ years of public accounting experience.
+ Excellent effective communication (written and verbal) to all levels within the organization and outside an organization – peers, senior management, standard-setting and/or regulatory organizations.
+ Must be a self-starter who can problem solve independently, provide solutions and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
+ CPA , CIA, or PMP strongly preferred; knowledge of Global internal Auditing Standards is preferred.
+ Ability to manage projects/tasks independently, including confidence in one’s own ability to develop interpretive conclusions, make recommendations and assist/provide guidance to less experienced auditors.
+ Customer service focused with ability to contribute innovative ideas and process improvement suggestions and see those changes through to implementation.
+ Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
+ Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with all levels, including upper management and executive level.
+ Demonstrates expert knowledge of auditing systems, audit or regulatory standards, or business unit/corporate operations and control environments, with applicable laws and regulations.
+ Demonstrates excellent problem solving skills related to issue identification/analysis, and proficient project management and project planning skills.
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
Preferred Disciplines: Accounting, Business, Finance
Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description
CPA, CIA, CISA, or PMP preferred.
