    Job Title: Senior Practice AdministratorDepartment: RGMG VMG ADMINISTRATION RGMG Location: Oversight of 10 practices – Riedman Office

     

    Hours Per Week: 40Schedule: Monday-Friday SUMMARY:his position functions as the primary administrative liaison to assigned practices. Practices are generally assigned to Directors according to specialty/service. The Director of Practice Management is the principle staff person to the Chief(s) of Service associated with their practices.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Functions as staff support to appropriate Chief(s) of Service with respect to planning, operations, patient care and financial aspects of assigned practices.

    + Oversees the implementation of new practices and relocation of existing practices.

    + Coordinates agendas, presentations and minutes for standing Practice Leadership Team Meetings for assigned practices.

    + Provides leadership and supervision to practice management staff.

    + Reviews and approves accounts payable and purchase requisitions as required by policy.

    + Interfaces with support services peripheral to practices including but not limited to Purchasing, Property

    + Management, Information Systems, Human Resources, Corporate Communications, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Managed Care and Patient Accounting.

    + Ensures compliance to DOH and JCAHO regulations.

    + This functions concerns itself with the timely monitoring and responsive improvement of systems impacting the daily operations of assigned practices and the accomplishments of short range and long range goals including: Development and implementation of policy and procedures; Implementation of service quality/cost improvement initiatives; Development and implementation of communication and promotional strategies; Implementation and maintenance of automated and manual systems.

    + Represents UPM/UMG on System committees and task forces.

    + This function concerns itself with the systems established to optimize and report on the practices’ financial performance including; Implementation of systems to establish and monitor annual operating and capital budgets; Implementation of systems to improve financial performance.

    + This function concerns itself with the monitoring and improvement of the quality of clinical services including: Monitoring performance of significant clinical aspects of care; Assessing performance on highly important aspects of patient satisfaction; and Implementation of clinical/service quality improvement initiatives.

    + This function serves to keep the practice aware and oriented to market forces. It has the responsibility to; Remain aware and alert regarding the healthcare environment (broadly defined); Consider alternative strategies to meet future challenges; establish long range and short range goals (and priorities) with respect to chosen strategies; and monitor progress of goals in light of environment dynamics.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Bachelor’s Degree

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + 3-5 years experience in practice management is desired.

    S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.     $89,000.00 - $140,000.00

    The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
