Job Title: Process Operations Specialist
Hours/Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
Type: Contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent
Overview
This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing operational processes across manufacturing workflows, with an emphasis on efficiency, automation, and data-driven decision-making. The position supports cross-functional technical operations, resolves escalations, and drives enhancements to production and material-flow systems.
Responsibilities
+ Design, optimize, and implement technology-enabled operational processes and workflow improvements.
+ Develop and execute technical operations roadmaps to improve existing systems and unlock new capabilities.
+ Lead cross-functional collaboration on problem definition, technical design, and solution scoping.
+ Use data to guide operational decisions and inform process strategy.
+ Identify risks and resolve issues, errors, and escalations through investigation and root-cause analysis.
+ Create automated workflows to reduce manual labor and support operational scalability.
+ Support engineers, analysts, and operations staff in resolving escalations and implementing corrective actions.
+ Assess operational ecosystems, data models, and technology environments to identify strengths, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
+ Manage shift-level processes for parent roll delivery from paper machines to storage and converting lines.
+ Oversee BOM and process order management for converting lines.
+ Apply prior knowledge of Proficy and RTCIS in daily operational support and process optimization.
Qualifications
+ Previous experience with Proficy.
+ Previous experience with RTCIS.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of shift management for parent roll delivery from paper machines to storage and converting lines.
+ Experience with BOM and process order management for converting lines.
+ Background in process design, automation, or technical operations.
+ Ability to use data to diagnose issues and inform operational improvements.
