Overview:
Amergis is seeking a dedicated M/M Special Education Teacher to serve in a Resource Specialist Program (RSP) role within Newhall Unified School District in Santa Clarita, CA. This is a full-time, ASAP-start opportunity supporting students with mild to moderate learning needs in an engaging and supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide specialized academic instruction and intervention to students with IEPs in a Resource Specialist setting.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, program specialists, administrators, and support staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, progress reports, and compliance records.
• Support inclusion practices and help integrate students into general education settings.
• Communicate effectively with families regarding progress, goals, and accommodations.
• Utilize data-driven strategies to support academic and behavioral success.
Qualifications:
• Valid California Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate Support Needs or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a resource or mild/moderate special education role preferred.
• Strong understanding of special education law, compliance, IEP development, and MTSS/RTI frameworks.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and time-management skills.

• Full-time, onsite position.
