Delta Air Lines is seeking a
Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Crew Digital IT team, a
pivotal part of Delta’s operations. This role offers the opportunity to enhance
operational efficiency and deliver impactful solutions for our crew-facing
technologies.
Responsibilities:
+ Lead development and provide productionsupport for critical enterprise applications.
+ Serve as Tech Lead for a cross-functionalsquad, coordinating with onsite and offshore teams.
+ Maintain and support Mobile Device Management(MDM) systems, ensuring reliable device enrollment, policy enforcement, andlifecycle management for crew member mobile devices and mobile applications.
+ Accurately estimate deliverable timelines andmanage sprint commitments.
+ Translate complex business requirements intoscalable, secure, and maintainable code.
+ Collaborate with product team members,leadership, and business partners to deliver high-quality software solutions.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ 5+years of hands-on development experience using SQL, PL/SQL, J2EE, Spring,JavaScript, HTML5, Angular, REST APIs, and Oracle; experience with NoSQL is aplus.
+ Provenexperience as a technical lead, guiding development teams and ensuring codequality.
+ Hands-onexperience with AWS Cloud technologies and MDM platforms (e.g., Intune,Workspace ONE, Jamf).
+ Familiaritywith design thinking, test-driven development, and embedded security practices.
+ Experiencewith containerization and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, OpenShift), CI/CDpipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), and DevOps tooling (SonarQube, Nexus).
+ Strongtroubleshooting skills for high-priority issues and outages.
+ Strongcommunication and mentoring skills, with the ability to collaborate acrossteams and drive alignment toward shared goals.
+ Commitmentto safety, security, and diversity in the workplace.
+ Consistentlyprioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
+ Embracesdiverse people, thinking, and styles.
+ Possessesa high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
+ Is atleast 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
+ Bachelor’sdegree in computer science, Information Systems, or 5+ years of relevanttechnical experience
+ Hands-onexperience with AWS services including ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, SQS/SNS, andDevOps pipeline setup
+ AWSCertification is a plus
+ Experiencedeveloping software solutions within the airline industry is a plus
+ Backgroundin DevOps and automation, including code testing, building, and deployment
