    Description:

    Position Purpose

    Mercy Care Atlanta is seeking a **Lead Administrative Assistant** to provide high-level administrative and operational support while supervising a team of Administrative Assistants. This role ensures seamless coordination of clinical and administrative activities, supporting senior leaders such as the Chief Medical Officer, Interim COO, and program directors. You will play a vital part in advancing Mercy Care’s mission of delivering compassionate, clinically excellent healthcare to those most in need.

    What You Will Do

    + Lead and manage daily operations of the administrative team, including scheduling, resource allocation, and timecard review.

    + Provide training, onboarding, and performance evaluations for Administrative Assistants.

    + Coordinate calendars, meetings, agendas, and follow-up actions for senior leadership.

    + Draft and proof reports, presentations, and correspondence while maintaining organized filing systems.

    + Support program initiatives, workshops, and compliance documentation.

    + Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external communications, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA standards.

    + Assist with special projects and operational improvements across departments.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business or Healthcare Administration (or equivalent experience).

    + 3–5 years of administrative experience with strong organizational and multitasking skills.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain a professional demeanor.

    **Preferred:** Experience in healthcare or nonprofit settings, knowledge of Federally Qualified Health Centers, and familiarity with scheduling or HRIS systems.
