Now Hiring: Central Fill Pharmacy Clerk – West Sacramento, CA

As a Central Fill **Pharmacy Clerk** , you will support pharmacy operations by packaging prescriptions, sorting outbound orders, and maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced, production-driven environment. This is an entry-level role—warehouse, packaging, or sorting experience is helpful but not required.

**Pay Rate** : $21.00- $23.50/hr.(based on experience, education, and location)

Schedule:

• First 4 Weeks: Monday–Friday, 1:30 PM–10:00 PM

• After Week 4 (Business-Need Dependent): Sunday–Thursday

• Sundays: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

• Mon–Thurs: 1:30 PM–10:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

Packaging & Fulfillment (40%)

• Package prescriptions while handling HIPAA-sensitive medication information

• Maintain consistent pace to meet individual and team production goals

Sortation

• Use handheld scanners to sort prescriptions

• Match shipping labels with correct bin locations

• Ensure accuracy in all scan-and-place workflows

Audits & Quality Checks

• Perform closed-bin audits (physical vs. system counts)

• Perform chain of custody audits

• Document discrepancies and escalate to management

Other Duties

• Follow SOPs for HIPAA compliance

• Restock supplies

• Keep work areas clean and organized

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 1+ year experience in warehouse, retail, or customer service

• Ability to follow detailed instructions

• Basic computer and math skills

• Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours

• Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy

• Ability to lift/carry 10–20 lbs and occasionally use ladders

• Must be comfortable with:

• Cold environments (refrigerated section)

• Handling certain medications (with training)
