Job Title: Manufacturing Laborer

Job Description

Operate manufacturing and testing equipment for a variety of products, providing essential manufacturing labor, testing, evaluation, and documentation. Support the production and ancillary processes of product manufacturing.

Responsibilities

+ Read, understand, and follow procedures accurately.

+ Maintain detailed production records and input data into electronic files.

+ Perform routine equipment maintenance, including minor repairs and modifications.

+ Execute sheet manufacturing responsibilities, including hot and cold roll sheet processes, waterjet use, edge shearing, surface grinding, acid etching, annealing, and hot press annealing.

+ Prepare sheets for shipping and ensure final cleaning.

+ Use measuring equipment to measure sheets accurately.

+ Maintain production records and ensure product identity is preserved.

+ Receive, identify, sort, document, store, and distribute sheet and thin sheet samples for various tests such as chemistry, metallographic, and mechanical.

+ Safely handle hazardous materials and wastes as part of production processes.

+ Adhere to all safety procedures and work safely at all times.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in general labor and production tasks.

+ Experience with hand tools and power tools.

+ Competency in assembly and machine operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High school diploma or GED.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Hartford, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
