Job Title: Carpenter - Metal Stud Framer

Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled finishing carpenter with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our team. Our company is a premier general contractor based in Altoona, PA, with a rich history of building high-quality commercial facilities across Central Pennsylvania and beyond. As a third-generation, family-owned construction company, we are known for our craftsmanship and innovation.

Responsibilities

+ Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and framing requirements

+ Measure, cut, and assemble metal studs, tracks, and framing materials according to design specifications

+ Install wall systems, ceilings, soffits, and partitions using light- and heavy-gauge steel studs

+ Secure wall frames and structures with appropriate fasteners, anchors, and bracing to ensure stability

+ Coordinate with other trades (electricians, plumbers, drywall installers) to align framing work with overall project timelines

+ Perform drywall installation over framed sections when required

+ Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently during cutting, fastening, and assembly tasks

Essential Skills

+ 2–4 years of framing carpentry experience.

+ Proficiency with carpentry tools and techniques.

+ Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.

+ Ability to work independently and in teams.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morgantown, WV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
