    HVLP Aerospace Finish Painter

    **Location:** Redmond, WA

    **Shift:** 2nd shift: 2:30 - 11:00 PM

    **Pay:** $24-27/hr, DOE

    Job Description

    Apply paint to panels and lenses to meet customer photometric and color specifications. Ensure work is completed within the established time frames, improve products and processes, and participate in quality improvement teams when appropriate.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure on-time delivery to the customer by maintaining productivity and adhering to department schedules.

    + Recommend ways to save money and reduce unnecessary costs.

    + Respond to customer requests, understand customer requirements, and build successful, productive customer relations.

    + Balance color and appearance for lighted displays.

    + Mix and apply paint to meet color requirements.

    + Use photometer and Minolta for accurate measurements.

    + Possess knowledge of parts, including clearing light holes, contrast, coloring, and tilting lamps to achieve customer specifications.

    + Sand panels to meet brightness requirements.

    + Read and plot colors on charts.

    + Handle chemicals safely and clean small spills.

    + Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

    + React productively to changes and handle other duties as required.

    + Accurately complete all related paperwork.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in painting, paint mixing, and matching software.

    + Experience with spray guns and paint application techniques.

    + Ability to read blueprints.

    + 3 years of experience in production painting.

    + Ability to operate a photometer.

    + Expertise in mixing paint and applying spray paint.

    + Skill in mixing colors to meet customer specifications.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Familiarity with handling chemicals and cleaning small spills.

    + Ability to work in darkrooms for extended periods.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in darkrooms for long periods, requiring respirators or dust masks. Regular exposure to paint dust, chemical fumes, and noise from fans and paint booths.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Redmond, WA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
