Job Title: Controls Technician

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Controls Technicians for our 2nd and 3rd shifts. The 2nd shift runs from 2pm to 10:30pm, and the 3rd shift from 7pm to 5:30am. Your primary focus will be troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance, especially after the production day ends at 7pm. Candidates with leadership aspirations are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

+ Follow and comply with all safety standards, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO).

+ Provide safe and timely electrical support.

+ Confer with supervisors on job assignments, preventive maintenance, TPM events, and maintenance work orders.

+ Analyze, troubleshoot, replace, and install electrical DC and AC controls.

+ Perform power distribution troubleshooting and electrical installations.

+ Troubleshoot and correct equipment Programmable Logic Controls (PLC’s).

+ Suggest, design, and upgrade existing equipment controls.

+ Develop, create, and maintain all electrical documentation.

+ Conduct PLC programming and modification of programs and devices.

+ Troubleshoot and set up Ethernet I/O.

+ Install, repair, and troubleshoot equipment electrical safety controls.

+ Work from complicated drawings, blueprints, worksheets, and other related documents.

+ Conduct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of manufacturing and facility equipment.

+ Participate in continuous improvement activities.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in PLC troubleshooting and programming.

+ Proficient in control testing and electrical maintenance.

+ Ability to read and follow complex control schematics.

+ Skilled in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kinston, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $37.00/hr.
