Receiving Lead

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Receiving Lead for a 1st shift position from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break. This role is based in our current location and will be relocating to the Caledonia area within the next 6-12 months from Hastings. The ideal candidate will not only focus on receiving but will also evolve into broader responsibilities including shipping and inventory management.

Responsibilities

+ Manage the receiving of incoming products and ensure accuracy by opening boxes and verifying contents.

+ Collaborate with sales to ensure shipments coming in and going out are accurate.

+ Utilize computer knowledge and Excel to perform necessary data entry and product tracking.

+ Operate forklifts, including both sit-down and stand-up, to move products around the warehouse.

+ Engage in inventory management, including cycle counts and inventory control.

+ Support the department, which includes working with the Shipping Manager, two inventory personnel, and one receiving person.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 5 years experience in a shipping role.

+ Proficiency in ERP systems.

+ Strong computer skills, including Excel and Microsoft Office.

+ Hi-Lo experience for product movement within the warehouse.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with various ERP systems such as SAP or Ship Ex.

Work Environment

The work environment includes operating in a warehouse setting with both sit-down and stand-up forklifts. The role requires the use of older ERP systems, with potential similarities to systems like SAP or Ship Ex. The position is on a first shift schedule and will transition to the Caledonia area in the coming months.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hastings, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
