Description

We are looking for a strong Senior Accountant to join our client in Northern Baltimore, Maryland. This role is essential to ensuring the accuracy of financial records and supporting the preparation of monthly financial statements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of accounting principles to perform reconciliations, journal entries, and other financial tasks with precision. Being able to communicate across departments and interact with C-Suite on a weekly basis is required. Along with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

• Perform account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts.

• Oversee month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

• Conduct daily bookkeeping tasks to ensure smooth financial operations.

• Assist with tax research and audit-related support activities as required.

• Analyze accrued liabilities and prepare monthly accruals to support financial reporting.

• Provide backup support for Accounts Payable and Revenue Cycle teams when needed.

• Utilize Sage Intacct and Excel to manage and analyze financial data effectively.

• Create monthly financial reports and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

• Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and maintain financial integrity.

Requirements • Proven experience in month-end close processes and general ledger management.

• Expertise in journal entry preparation and posting.

• Strong ability to perform reconciliations across various accounts, including cash and expenses.

• Proficiency in Sage Intacct and advanced Microsoft Excel functions.

• Solid understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.

• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for precise financial tasks.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
