Description We are looking for a motivated and detail-driven Staff Accountant to join our team in Sanford, Florida. This position is a Contract to permanent role, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential accounting operations while advancing your analytical skills. The ideal candidate will excel in handling full-cycle accounting tasks, supporting compliance efforts, and collaborating across departments to enhance financial processes.

Responsibilities:

• Execute full-cycle accounting tasks, including journal entries, month-end closings, and account reconciliations.

• Manage payroll processing and assist with related reporting and compliance requirements.

• Perform cost accounting activities, such as analyzing variances, inventory valuation, and updating standard costs.

• Prepare and review multi-jurisdiction sales and use tax filings to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, identifying and resolving discrepancies.

• Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and internal reports for management review.

• Provide support for accounts receivable and accounts payable operations, including invoice processing and payment follow-ups.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial operations and streamline processes.

• Maintain adherence to internal controls and assist with audit-related activities as required.

• Take on additional accounting projects and tasks as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 1–2 years of accounting experience in a relevant role.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred, or active pursuit of an Accounting degree with applicable hands-on experience.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools such as Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.

• Experience with ERP systems like Epicor, NetSuite, or similar platforms.

• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and practices.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills, coupled with effective communication abilities.

• Capable of managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and working independently or collaboratively.
