Summary:
Job Summary:Coordinates, implements, evaluates, and documents orientation of new Correctional Health Care clinical staff, ongoing educational programs and evaluating evidence-based practice. Educational scope includes all aspects of intake, registration, sick call, clinical competency, Epic documentation, and clinic support for all clinical staff. Revises program materials as needed to uphold best practice and accreditation standards. Influences the character of the professional nurse through role competence, professional growth, and facilitating lifelong learning activities in a variety of settings. Upholds the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Practice. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Master’s Degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, or other Education related field or obtained within 3 years of hire.
Current State of Ohio RN license.
Three years of clinical experience in applicable nursing setting.
Experience in adult education and curriculum development.
Proficiency with Epic EMR.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal/written communication, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
Informatics experience.
Epic training certification.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
Certification strongly preferred or obtained within 3 years of hire.
Physical Demands:
May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day.
May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
Finger dexterity to operate PC keyboard.
Ability to see computer monitor and job-related documents.
Ability to hear normal voice sounds.
