We're seeking a dedicated OR Clinician to join our Operating Room team and help drive a culture of excellence, collaboration, and exceptional patient outcomes.

    Purpose of the Role

    As an OR Clinician, you'll serve as a clinical leader and trusted resource, directly influencing team development, patient care quality, and overall unit success. In partnership with the Unit Director and department leadership, you will guide a team of direct reports, deliver performance evaluations, support hiring, and ensure strong daily operations within the OR.

     

    This role blends clinical expertise, education, and leadership, making it ideal for an experienced OR nurse ready to take the next step.

    Schedule:

    This role is primarily 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, with 24-hour accountability to the needs of the unit.

    What You'll DoLead & Elevate Nursing Practice

    + Serve as a clinical leader who identifies opportunities for improvement and guides staff through change.

    + Support the psychological, educational, and learning needs of the team.

    + Participate in shared leadership at the unit, facility, or system level.

    + Lead initiatives such as quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and onboarding.

    Deliver Exceptional Patient Care

    + Apply Relationship-Based Care to support the clinical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients and families.

    + Demonstrate strong critical thinking and communication skills to advocate for patients and influence care practices.

    + Ensure high-quality documentation that supports seamless caregiver communication.

    Promote Quality, Safety & Innovation

    + Incorporate professional standards and system goals into daily work.

    + Contribute to a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

    + Share knowledge and innovations through presentations, posters, and publications.

    Mentor, Teach & Inspire

    + Actively precept and mentor new nurses, students, and interns.

    This is a role where your leadership matters-to patients, families, and the future of nursing practice.

     

    + Minimum 3 years of nursing experience

    + Master's degree preferred.

    + BS/BSN required. If BS degree not in nursing, a Master's or higher degree in Nursing is required.

     

    Demonstrated competence as a Professional Staff Nurse.The individual must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and/or interact appropriately to the ages of the patients served by his/her assigned unit as specified below. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs and to provide the care needs as described in the department policy and procedures.Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and support staff, other departments, and patients/families.Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment, handle multiple/changing priorities and specialized equipment.Exemplary clinical judgment with critical thinking, analytical and problem solving abilities required as related to various aspects of patient care.Critical thinking skills necessary to exercise and to lead others in application of the nursing process.Mobility and visual manual dexterity.Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting and positioning of patients.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

    Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in practicing state. National Certification preferred. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

     

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

    + Registered Nurse (RN)

    + Act 34

    *Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
