PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a motivated **Jr. SEC Operator** to support a leading public utility company’s Security and Operations Center. In this role, you will help safeguard essential infrastructure, provide frontline technical support, and play a vital part in maintaining secure, efficient operations. About the Role

As a Jr. SEC Operator, you will monitor security systems, respond to technical and physical security incidents, support business operations, and assist with maintaining application and system reliability. You will be part of a team that ensures continuity of service and protects critical systems for a public utility company that millions depend on.

Key Responsibilities

Operational & Technical Support

+ Maintain inventory of applications and application interfaces.

+ Provide frontline support via call, chat, or email for employees and contractors.

+ Analyze, evaluate, and troubleshoot system malfunctions; escalate issues to Level II or III as required.

+ Create and manage ITSM tickets, ensuring timely resolution.

+ Perform basic IT tasks: account troubleshooting, access requests, software installs, and hardware support.

+ Monitor and support IT systems including SAP and network infrastructure.

+ Maintain the knowledge database and document issues and resolutions.

Security Operations

+ Conduct continuous threat monitoring and detection across cyber defense systems to identify anomalous activities.

+ Execute standardized incident response procedures for containment, eradication, and recovery.

+ Support incident management for physical security breaches, environmental emergencies, unauthorized access, and related events.

+ Monitor surveillance systems, control access points, respond to alarms, and coordinate responses.

+ Create and manage employee badges and monitor badge system activity.

+ Handle customer threat assessments and escalate emergency medical situations when required.

Project & Business Alignment

+ Integrate new capabilities into project, product, and program workflows.

+ Collaborate with technical teams and business units to develop innovative solutions.

+ Translate the company’s business strategy into actionable, successful technology projects.

+ Ensure data privacy and data governance are prioritized in all engagements.

+ Support leadership in managing and aligning customer expectations.

Key Accountabilities

+ Develop and promote solutions that support business strategies and align with enterprise standards.

+ Maintain uniform application design standards across the organization.

+ Provide 24/7 remote support as part of an Operations Center rotation.

+ Identify deficiencies in technical processes and escalate appropriately.

+ Understand the relationships between applications, architecture, and business processes.

Qualifications

Required

+ 2+ years of experience in security-related fields.

+ Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

+ Excellent collaboration, prioritization, and customer service abilities.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

+ Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn quickly.

+ Understanding of Windows OS, mobile operating systems (iOS and Android), and Microsoft Office (including Outlook).

Preferred

+ Associate’s degree in a security or technology-related field.

+ Experience with threat monitoring and detection tools.

+ Familiarity with enterprise IT environments and security operations.

**Pay Details:** $20.00 per hour
