Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Facility Engineering Intern. This is a full-time internship slated to begin in **May 2026** .

The hourly rate for this position is **$22.15 - $34.62** per hour.

What you’ll do:

Eaton Corporation’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions group is currently seeking a Facility Engineering Intern to join our team. This position is a seasonal summer position based at our Syracuse, NY facility. 

Position Overview:

The Facility Engineering Intern will work hands-on with the GEIS Engineering and Operations teams to gain practical experience working on various manufacturing, operations and EHS projects. The selected candidate will play a key supporting role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the site’s processes. Through the analysis of performance data, identification of inefficiencies, and the implementation of strategic solutions, the Facility Engineering Intern will support the site in achieving its goals. This role involves collaboration with various departments to foster a culture of innovation and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Work with Maintenance Manager and Facility Engineer to develop, update and support documentation for facility operations.

+ Assist with various continuous improvement and cost-out initiatives which may include participation in Kaizen or Rapid Improvement Events.

+ Identify and implement shop floor process improvements.

+ Assist with various manufacturing, operations and EHS projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)

+ Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited institution with a major in engineering or operations-related field

+ Minimum 3.0 GPA (please don't round)

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment and/or previous internship experience.
