Your role and responsibilities
HashiCorp-IBM is looking for driven, forward-thinking, outgoing problem-solvers to take on the critical task of creating technical assets at scale that enables our customers to achieve business outcomes. The successful candidate will create compelling technical content that helps our sales and professional services teams scale engagements and our customers achieve their objectives with our tools. This includes building technical assets used for customers going through the envisioning phase of their journey, to the hands-on onboarding phase, and ultimately to the point that they are well along on learning how to consume different aspects of our tools.
In this Role you can expect to:
• Create compelling technical assets like interactive demos, workshops, presentations that drives enablement and adoption of HashiCorp Products across the customer lifecycle
• Build/refine standard processes to develop, deploy and maintain CDL Assets
• Actively contribute to evangelizing and enabling adoption of new assets products via technical knowledge sharing sessions, roadshows etc.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure assets are aligned with technical field operation teams ; examples of these can include Marketing Workshops, Demos, Technical Validation, Customer Onboarding, SA Maturity Workshops, Field CTO, Advanced SA
• Contribute to the CDL roadmap for technical go to market assets with a focus on Business Outcomes (think pipe-gen, consumption, increased field productivity)
• Mentor other team members and increase overall productivity of the team
• Deliver Technical Knowledge Sharing sessions as new assets and material is published
Required technical and professional expertise
• Experience in one of Sales Engineering, Professional Services, System Engineering, Platform Engineering or equivalent experience in a customer facing role
• Have deep hands-on experience with Hashicorp’s Enterprise tools (TF/HCL skills are mandatory) and passion for Automation
• Proven ability to work cross functionally and collaboratively across a broad set of stakeholders
• Hands-on experience DevOps Workflows, Building CI/CD Pipelines, Shell Scripting
• Ability and willingness to mentor CDL team and community members
• Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills
• Enjoy working on a fast-paced team and dealing with competing priorities - ‘we collaborate a ton, respect each other and we get things done!’
• Are proficient with HashiCorp-adjacent technologies. Examples include network equipment, VMware, Jenkins and configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, similar IBM automation suites
• Have cloud platform experience (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Agile Development Experience - We are a team of builders
• Attention to detail with a focus on user experience is essential
• 10+ years overall experience
Preferred technical and professional experience
• Deep pre-sales engineering experience using Hashicorp products
• Experience with Instruqt or equivalent learning platforms
• Experience with Kubernetes/Container Orchestration Platform
• Programming experience with Python/JavaScript/GO is a plus
