Where You’ll Work
This position can be based in either our Washington, D.C. or Lenexa, KS offices. We leverage a hybrid working model working three days in the office, two days optional remote work.
What You’ll Do
The Quality Project Management and Program Design Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the successful operations, planning, and execution, of quality improvement (QI) programs and projects. This role combines strong project management proficiency with instructional design expertise to support the delivery of high-impact, learner-centered content for healthcare audiences. The specialist works collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure timely and successful execution of improvement collaboratives, workshops, and events, both virtual and in-person, that align with organizational goals and meet the needs of diverse participants.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
+ Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, workstreams, and milestones for multiple concurrent improvement programs and projects.
+ Coordinate activities across internal departments and external partners to ensure seamless program and project delivery.
+ Monitor project and program progress, manage risks, resolve issues, and escalate concerns to maintain alignment and ensure momentum.
+ Utilize project management tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, MS Project) to manage tasks, risks, resources, and communications as it pertains to programs and projects.
MEETING COORDINATION & RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
+ Serve as a primary point of contact for hospitals and external stakeholders participating in quality improvement projects and programs.
+ Provide timely support to program participants, maintaining a positive and professional experience.
+ Facilitate and plan regular internal meetings with the quality team and departmental stakeholders.
+ Support the Quality Improvement & Measurement Consultant with preparation of external meetings.
+ Manage the coordination of all events and program logistics including registration, materials, agendas, technology setup, and post-event surveys in collaboration with Event Services and with the support of the Member Relations and Operations Analyst.
+ Lead the submission process of CEUs (Continuing Education Units) in collaboration with Events Management and the Quality Improvement and Measurement Consultant.
+ In collaboration with Events Management and Brand Communications, ensure consistent event branding and experience.
PROGRAM DESIGN SUPPORT
+ Support the design of workshops and meetings (virtual and in-person) as it pertains to the structure, flow, and content in collaboration with the Quality Improvement and Measurement Consultant and faculty.
+ Apply adult learning theory and instructional design principles to enhance the member experience by ensuring that content and meetings developed by faculty and Quality Improvement and Measurement Consultants is engaging, visually compelling, and tailored to diverse healthcare audiences. Collaborate with the Education team as needed to elevate the quality and impact of presentations, materials, and training initiatives.
+ Continuously enhance member experience across workshops, meetings, and program content by leveraging participant feedback, performance metrics, and evidence-based best practices.
EVALUATION & REPORTING
+ Track and analyze key metrics pertaining to participation, engagement, and qualitative/quantitative feedback from program attendees for the purpose of continuous improvement and in partnership with the Member Engagement team.
+ Support the development of summary reports, executive reports, dashboards, and presentations to highlight program outcomes and progress in partnership with the Quality Improvement and Measurement Consultant.
Required Experience:
What You’ll Bring to CHA
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying.
+ Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Public Health, Education, Healthcare Administration, Communications); Master’s degree preferred.
+ Ability to travel up to 30%
+ Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification or equivalent experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, instructional design, or program coordination within a healthcare or nonprofit setting.
+ Strong understanding of adult learning principles and experience applying them in content and program design.
+ Demonstrated ability to create professional and engaging visual content, particularly in PowerPoint or other design tools.
+ Comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative, and cross-functional environments.
+ Proficiency with virtual learning platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx) and learning management systems.
+ Familiarity with CEU processes and virtual/in-person event coordination is preferred.
+ Experience in healthcare quality improvement, clinical program delivery, or healthcare education is a plus.
+ Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies (e.g., PDSA cycles, Lean, Six Sigma) is preferred
+ Knowledge of data visualization tools and principles for reporting outcomes is a plus.

More About CHA
This pay range shown is a guideline. Min: $79,000 Max: $130,000 Compensation is based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
