Our client, a leader in the industrial gases sector, is seeking a dedicated **Safety Coordinator** to join their team. As a Safety Coordinator, you will be an integral part of the safety and compliance department supporting operational excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a proactive safety mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

**Job Title:** Safety Coordinator

**Location:** Torrance, CA

**Pay Range:** $116.50

What's the Job?

+ Lead daily safety meetings to promote a safety-first culture

+ Verify the implementation of all turnaround safety processes

+ Ensure receipt and accuracy of training documentation such as forklift certifications

+ Follow up on incidents and near-misses to ensure corrective actions are taken

+ Conduct on-site inspections to identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices

What's Needed?

+ 10+ years of experience in a Safety Coordinator role within refinery or petrochemical industries

+ Degree in health and safety related discipline and/or current CSP certification preferred

+ Subject matter expertise in OSHA, MSHA, NFPA, NEC, CGA, Alberta OHS regulations

+ Proven experience in site auditing, assessment, and coaching

+ Strong interpersonal, communication, and training skills with a positive safety attitude
