Senior Advisory Services - Relationship Manager

Overview:
Provides relationship management and fiduciary investment advisory services to corporate retirement accounts, concentrating on mid to large-size, complex advisory relationships.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead interactions with mid to large size, complex clients, over the phone or on-site, to present and discuss investment advice, investment reviews, plan reviews, participant education strategies, plan design features, fee benchmarking and third party service provider reviews as requested.
Support new business development by assisting with completion of Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and presentations.
Oversee transition and conversion of assets to new third party service provider, including collection of required documents and contracts. Facilitate ongoing communication with third party service providers. Oversee the submission and approval of the team's assigned account reviews to ensure completion in a timely manner.
Serve as primary contact for assigned/coverage team accounts and resolve complex matters and inquiries. Provide oversight of the team to help resolve basic and complex matters as needed.
Maintain client communications on regulatory, legal, accounting, fiduciary and ERISA matters. Confirm with recordkeeper that all required paperwork is in place for payment of our services.
Remain current on industry trends and understand regulatory items as it occurs or as communicated by management. Understand the competition.
Ensure activities adhere to Division, client and alliance service standards.
Responsible for mentoring of others; direct or monitor less experienced Relationship Managers in the client processing function.
Participate in Departmental projects and Corporate initiatives on a periodic basis.
Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 years’ higher education and/or and work experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ experience
Strong level of proficiency in use of personal computers and software packages, such as word processing and spreadsheet software
Knowledge of balance sheets and income statements

Education and Experience Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business
Minimum of 6 years’ experience
Retirement or Trust administration experience
Series 6 or 7, 63 and state insurance licenses
Certified Retirement Services Professional (CRSP) and/or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) certification
M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $128,100.00 - $213,500.00 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
