    Job Description

    The Cash Posting & Credits Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily operations of cash posting and credit balance teams. This role ensures the accurate and timely posting and reconciliation of all incoming payments while maintaining credit balances in compliance with payer and regulatory guidelines and company policies.

    Responsibilities

    + Supervise the processing of payment batches, including denials, contractual adjustments, and guarantor payments, ensuring all payment batches are balanced and closed timely.

    + Oversee the analysis of Explanation of Benefits (EOB) information, including the review of co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, contractual adjustments, and denials to ensure the accuracy of patient balances.

    + Lead the team in resolving any cash balance or posting errors and ensure proper documentation of these resolutions or related issues.

    + Develop and evaluate key performance indicators related to cash posting timeliness, accuracy, and backlogs, and train the cash posting team accordingly.

    + Prepare and evaluate reports on cash performance, offering data-driven insights into trends, gaps, and potential areas for improvement and address escalated posting issues.

    + Review all refund and retraction requests and approve those within the position’s scope of authority.

    Essential Skills

    + Data entry

    + 2+ years of EPIC experience

    + Ability to communicate with insurance companies and understanding of the collection process

    + Experience in a multitude of different specialties in ambulatory services

    + Experience with administrative tasks in a medical setting

    Work Environment

    This position offers a hybrid work environment with 2-3 days per week onsite after the training period, which typically lasts a few weeks. The office is located on Boylston Street, with free parking available onsite and a shuttle service from the MBTA commuter rail station. The work environment is a clinic setting, offering a professional atmosphere for career growth.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boston, MA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00/hr.
