Job Title: Ground Penetrating Radar Technician
Job Description
The Ground Penetrating Radar Technician will play a crucial role in initiating and developing our geophysics services. This is a dynamic field role with future strategic opportunities. As the demand for our services grows, the successful candidate will have the chance to work closely with the department head in coordination, scheduling, and providing marketing insights.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct ground penetrating radar surveys.
+ Create detailed field reports and survey logs.
+ Engage with clients professionally as required.
+ Support additional geophysical or geotechnical field activities like Re-Mi, materials testing, or drilling support.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of experience in GPR field work.
+ Proficiency in utility locating or concrete scanning.
+ Experience in Re-Mi testing.
+ Proficient with GPR equipment and software such as GSSI or Sensors & Software.
+ Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
+ Willingness and ability to travel to field sites.
+ OSHA 10/30 certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
+ Physical ability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs and work in various outdoor conditions.
Work Environment
This position offers a balanced 50/50 split between fieldwork and office duties, allowing for both hands-on and strategic involvement. The role provides the opportunity for growth and direct collaboration with the department head in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
