Description

We are looking for an experienced HR Director to provide strategic leadership and guide the transformation of the Human Resources department. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to rebuild and stabilize HR operations while fostering a culture of excellence and compliance. The role is based in Eugene, Oregon, and requires someone who is detail oriented and can implement best practices to establish a strong foundation for future growth. This person should be willing and able to be on-site in Eugene, OR 5 days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures that align with organizational goals.

• Oversee recruitment strategies to address staffing challenges and ensure effective hiring practices.

• Manage employee relations by fostering a positive work environment and addressing concerns proactively.

• Evaluate and enhance compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.

• Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations while maintaining ethical HR practices.

• Provide strategic guidance to restructure the HR department and establish stability.

• Collaborate with external HR service providers to optimize support and resources.

• Train and mentor HR staff to build a cohesive and capable team.

• Analyze current HR operations and identify areas for improvement.

• Drive initiatives that promote employee engagement and organizational development.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in human resources leadership roles.

• Strong understanding of HR compliance, policies, and procedures.

• Proven ability to manage employee relations and foster a positive workplace culture.

• Expertise in compensation, benefits, and recruitment strategies.

• Demonstrated success in restructuring and stabilizing HR operations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration and leadership.

• Ability to work with external HR providers effectively.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Willing and able to be on-site 5x week in Eugene, Oregon
