    Are you an experienced accounting professional looking to make an immediate impact with a dynamic organization? Join our client as a Contract Staff Accountant and help drive financial accuracy and operational success across multiple legal entities.

    Position Summary

    As a Contract Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for the prompt monthly closing of all assigned entities, preparation of comprehensive financial statement packages, and analysis and reconciliation of P& L and balance sheet accounts. You’ll collaborate closely with management to update and maintain 2-year budget projections, ensuring financial integrity and supporting strategic decision-making.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Perform monthly close and full-spectrum accounting responsibilities for 6–12 legal entities of varying complexity.

    + Prepare financial reporting packages and perform in-depth analysis of P& L accounts.

    + Reconcile balance sheet accounts and coordinate closely with the Accounts Payable/Treasury Analyst team for timely payment processing and bank reconciliations.

    + Manage billing processes as required for assigned entities.

    + Oversee the proper coding and posting of debit card expenses submitted by field personnel.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; working toward CPA certification preferred.

    + Experience: Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Staff Accountant or higher role; experience in Trust and Investment Accounting preferred.

    + Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills; robust working knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred).

    + Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, communication, and time management. Proven ability to solve problems, adapt to a dynamic environment, work independently, and deliver outstanding customer service.
