    Overview

     

    The General Manager of SurePayroll provides strategic leadership and direction to the SurePayroll Senior Team, overseeing all business units toward the achievement of objectives. The General Manager acts as a key liaison between SurePayroll and Paychex corporate colleagues to build stakeholder relationships and ensure synergistic planning and alignment between the businesses.

    Responsibilities

    + Defines SurePayroll company vision and strategy. Ensures business unit plans and tactical initiatives are executed effectively to enhance customer experience, improve efficiency, and maximize profitability.

    + Collaborates frequently and effectively with other critical organizations and senior level management within Paychex to ensure SurePayroll perspective is incorporated into decision making, and to ensure directives and strategy from corporate are thoroughly integrated into SurePayroll business planning in order to continuously improve the performance of the division.

    + Directs the organization’s efforts and is accountable for planning and attaining the annual business goals for SurePayroll incorporating enterprise-wide Sales, Service, Product Development, IT, Marketing, Finance, and HR objectives in adherence to the annual operating budget. Responsible for the SurePayroll P & L.

    + Recruits, develops, manages, and retains top talent within the SurePayroll Sr. Leadership team. Enables leadership agility and the ability to make courageous and effective decisions within a fast paced highly dynamic business environment. Supports and prepares leadership for advancement through intentional career development, training and other resources available to create bench strength within the division.

    + Leads efforts to continually increase the level of employee engagement and to promote positive and effective parent/subsidiary partnerships.

    + Keeps abreast of the market, the relative positioning of our competitors, and helps drive strategy to keep us at the forefront of the industry, and to optimize the value of SurePayroll to the Paychex business.

    + Directs the team responsible for office management and administrative support.

    + Other duties and projects as assigned to support SurePayroll and enterprise-wide success.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor's Degree in Business Management - Required

    + Master's Degree in Business Administration - Preferred

    + 10+ years of experience in The strategic leadership and day to day oversight of a complete business or a complex, multi-faceted unit of a larger organization, including management of senior leaders.

    + Experience within the SAAS, software, or HR Services industries.

     

    Compensation

     

    In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $220,000.00-$290,000.00 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
