    Journeyman I: Electrician

    **Pay Rate** :

     

    Journeyman I start at an hourly rate of **$38.25/hr.**

    **Category/Shift:** Hourly Full-Time Day Worker (7:00a to 3:30p – Monday – Friday)

    Job Requirements:

    + At least 18 years of age.

    + Eligible for employment in the US.

    + Minimum high school graduate, GED equivalent or equivalent work experience

    + At least three (3) years of work experience in electrical systems

    + **Must** be willing to meet the following requirements:

    + Operate or work in industrial conditions (the environment will be loud, warm/hot, and dusty/dirty. Employees work around hazardous chemicals, heavy machinery and elevated working surfaces. The work includes repetitive motions (all employees receive proper safety training and safety protection).

    + Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment.

    + Undergo a job-related health assessment as a condition of employment.

    + Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment.

    + Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule.

    + Work overtime on a regular basis and with last-minute notification.

    + Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis.

    + Wear required safety equipment.

    The Job You Will Perform:

    This position will assist journeymen-level Electrical/Instrumentation maintenance technicians in routine maintenance work as well as performing many duties independently. Our world class Global Manufacturing Training program provides paid hands-on experiences and classroom instruction in order to prepare you for your next promotion

    Duties include, but are not limited to:

    + Troubleshoot, install, repair AC and DC drive systems as well as stand-alone process drives of various manufacturers

    • Troubleshoot, install, maintain various electrical components such as mechanical limit, proximity, photo electric, speed and reflective switches

    • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics

    + Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on 480v thru 13.8kv power distribution switchgear

    • Understand and follow NFPA70E regulations involving Arc Flash and Shock hazards

    • Other duties as assigned

    Preferred Candidates will have:

    + Associates degree or certification(s) in Industrial Maintenance or other related disciplines within instrumentation/electrical.

    + Relevant work experience in an industrial environment.
