Title: Temp Pharmacist/Pharmacy Technician
Duration: Through Dec 2025, potentially longer
Schedule: Core hours are M-F, 7a-4p, but schedule will be flexible for the right person to fit them in where it works to support high volume days
Start Date: ASAP
Requirements:
+ Must be a licensed Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician
+ Any prior experience working in a clinical trial setting is a plus
Responsibilities:
+ Working onsite in a clinical trial setting: IP handling, dose prep/reconstitution, labeling, accountability, and temperature management
Job Summary
The Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician is the lead on all assigned trials and is responsible for understanding and implementing protocols.
Key Responsibilities
• Understands and implements the protocol with oversight by the Principal Investigator (MD)
• Leads and oversees the work of vaccine coordinators
• Follows the research protocol directly
• Adheres to good clinical practices
• Responsible for ongoing, active communication of study progress, questions, issues with Investigator and sub-investigator.
• Conducts informed consent and other study procedures for trials as deemed appropriate when not in conflict with unblinded role.
• Understands the drug preparation instructions and storage directions for the study drug to be administered.
• Ensures study drug is dispensed, prepared, administered and returned per assigned protocols as unblinded injector
• Documents and tracks the drug accountability for vaccines per study and any required logs
• Completes study source documents as required by the study
• Receives and logs in drug as arrived, creates tracking logs for accountability as needed
• Works with study sponsor and unblinded monitor as directed.
• Responsible for QA work.
• Additional duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• MS Office Experience.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong clinical background with evidence of independent relevant clinical assessment skills preferred. Education and Experience
Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician with active NYS license.
At least two years’ experience in clinical role required.
