• Devops Lead and Release Coordinator

    Cognizant is seeking a Devops Lead and Release Coordinator for a full time opportunity in Dallas, TX.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the design implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to automate build test and deployment processes.

    • Manage and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability reliability and cost-efficiency.

    • Collaborate with development QA and operations teams to streamline workflows and improve software delivery processes.

    • Drive the adoption of DevOps best practices tools and methodologies across teams.

    • Ensure security and compliance standards are met in all DevOps processes.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development testing and production environments.

    • Plan schedule and coordinate software releases ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

    • Define and enforce release policies processes and standards to ensure consistency and quality.

    • Maintain a release calendar and communicate release plans to stakeholders.

    • Manage risks and resolve issues that may affect release scope schedule or quality.

    • Conduct post-release reviews and implement improvements to the release process.

    • Ensure proper version control and documentation for all releases.

    • Act as the primary point of contact for release-related activities and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

    Qualifications:

    • 7+ years of experience in DevOps release management or related roles.

    • Strong expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g. Github actions Azure DevOps).

    • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud platforms

    • Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).

    • Proficiency of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.

    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.

    • Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or similar certifications.
