Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Financial Analyst in the Detroit, Michigan area. The Financial Analyst will help to support the project management and budget control activities. The analyst will ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency across projects by leveraging Maximo and SAP systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor budgets, track expenditures, and provide actionable insights to drive informed decision-making.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Project Financial Support:

o Assist project managers in developing and maintaining project budgets.

o Monitor project costs and ensure alignment with financial forecasts.

o Track and report on project financial performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.

• Budget Management:

o Maintain and update budget records in Maximo and SAP.

o Support monthly, quarterly, and annual budget planning and forecasting cycles.

o Reconcile actual expenditures against budgeted amounts and investigate discrepancies.

• System Utilization:

o Use Maximo to manage work orders, asset costs, and budget allocations.

o Use SAP for financial reporting, cost tracking, and procurement support.

o Ensure data integrity and consistency across both platforms.

• Reporting & Analysis:

o Prepare financial reports and dashboards for stakeholders.

o Analyze trends, risks, and opportunities to improve financial performance.

o Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives.

• Compliance & Process Improvement:

o Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.

o Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve reporting accuracy.

Compensation:

$30/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a project-based environment.

• Proficiency in Maximo and SAP is required.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Advanced Excel skills; experience with data visualization tools is a plus.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. • Experience in engineering, construction, or manufacturing industries.

• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.

• Knowledge of cost accounting principles.
