    Position Summary

    The Clinical Operations Manager to oversee the clinical staff within the medical group. This key role will be responsible for leading the clinical education programs, including orientation and competency assessments, as well as managing clinical workflows and quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse (RN) with significant clinical experience and a passion for teaching, team leadership, and improving patient care outcomes.

    Primary Position Responsibilities

    1. Provide direct oversight, education, and leadership to clinical staff including Registered Nurses (RNs), Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs), and other allied health professionals within the medical group. Serve as a key liaison between clinical staff and leadership, fostering open communication and collaboration.

    2. Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, workflows, healthcare regulations, including state and federal laws, accrediting bodies and internal policies in daily operations related to clinical practice

    3. Provide guidance and support in handling clinical challenges, patient care situations, and staff concerns.

    4. Develop, implement, and maintain a structured competency program to evaluate and validate the clinical skills of staff, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and HMG policies.

    5. In collaboration with HR oversee the orientation process for new clinical staff and annual competencies / performance reviews, ensuring comprehensive onboarding, adherence to clinical protocols, professionalism and competency to the organization’s clinical standards / protocols and extent of staff's training and licensure.

    6. Analyze current clinical workflows, collaborate with key stake holders and make recommendations for process improvements that enhance patient care, enhance efficiency, optimize clinical operations and overall team performance. Monitor workflow changes and their impact on clinical outcomes, making adjustments as necessary to meet organizational goals.

    7. Lead quality improvement initiatives within clinical departments, including monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as patient safety, clinical outcomes, and patient satisfaction.

    8. Participate in regular leadership meetings, providing input on staffing needs, training requirements, and process improvements.

    9.Collaborate with other clinical departments and community partners to ensure integrated care and optimal patient outcomes.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education:

    Required:

    Bachelor's Degree, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

    Preferred:

    Master's Degree, Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

    Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):

    Required:

    Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership, supervisory, or educational role.

    Preferred:

    + Experience in outpatient or ambulatory care settings is highly desirable.

    + Proven experience in developing and implementing clinical education programs, staff orientation, and competency assessments.

    + Experience with quality improvement initiatives and process development in a healthcare setting.

    License, Registry or Certification:

    Required:

    Registered Nurse (RN) with an active, unrestricted license in the state of New Jersey.

    Preferred:

    Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:

    Required:

    + Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    + Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and collaboration among multidisciplinary teams.

    + Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and other healthcare management software.

    + Knowledge of regulatory requirements and clinical best practices.

    + Ability to analyze and improve clinical workflows and operational processes.

    + Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and continuous professional development.
