Kratos Defense & Rocket Support Services, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified Military Operations Specialist to support Army Air and Missile Defense (AMD) operational planning, training, and exercise requirements. The ideal candidate will assist with mission planning, threat analysis, collective training development, and the execution of distributed and home-station training events that enhance readiness across supported Army Commands and subordinate Brigades and Battalions.

The candidate must possess strong subject matter expertise in Air and Missile Defense operations, and demonstrate the ability to plan, coordinate, and manage training and exercise support activities across multiple stakeholder organizations. The role requires the ability to work independently, manage multiple taskings, and consistently meet Customer-driven timelines in a dynamic operational environment.

Responsibilities include translating real-world operations, threat information, and mission requirements into relevant training objectives, scenarios, and readiness activities. The specialist will support the development and delivery of training products to include instructional materials, course content, scenario design, workshops, system-based training, and simulation-supported events. The role also includes training Soldiers and leaders on relevant AMD systems, operational processes, and mission integration tasks.

The position may include limited support to unit-level training systems or devices, and coordination with technical personnel on planning, integration, documentation, and troubleshooting when training activities require use of distributed or network-enabled capabilities. However, the primary focus of this role is operations, planning, and training support, not IT or Cyber administration.

Experience working within Joint or Combined Air Defense operations centers, including environments similar to the Joint Air Defense Operations Center (JADOC) or JADOC-Mobile, is highly desirable.

Required Experience:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

+ Minimum of eight (8) years relevant work experience in military operations

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or eleven (11) years of relevant work experience in military operations with a high school diploma or GED

+ Must have at least an active Secret DoD Security Clearance.

+ Must have demonstrated proficiency using MS Office applications.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

+ Past experience coordinating support requirements with NCR-IADS related organizations to include: SMDC, NCR-IADS Task Force, the Army National Guard, CONR/1AF, JADOC, JADOC-D or JADOC-M

+ Demonstrated understanding of current Air & Missile Defense Command & Control and Weapon Systems to include the FAAD C2, NASAMS, Sentinel Radar and SHORAD-based weapons systems (Stinger MANPADS, Avenger and Sentinel)

+ Prior experience planning exercises, test events and/or experiments that included Modeling & Simulation applications

+ Former Army Air Defense Officers, Warrant Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers are preferred
