Verdantas is seeking a Staff Engineer II at our Newark, Ohio Office. This opportunity is ideal for emerging professionals ready to transition from academic learning to impactful, real-world engineering.

As a Staff II Engineer, you’ll be part of a collaborative team that values innovation, curiosity, and continuous growth as we work on a variety of projects for local cities and villages. You’ll contribute to meaningful projects that drive environmental and infrastructure solutions, while gaining hands-on experience in design, development, and problem-solving.

What You'll Do:

+ Assist Project Managers with technical and civil engineering design

+ Perform technical engineering work associated with land development and/or water resources:

+ Assist the Municipal group

+ Prepare site, utility, and roadway plans for agency/municipal review

+ Completion of various land development and environmental permitting applications

+ Attend meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractors

+ Manage construction projects

+ Construction inspector as needed

+ Candidate should be a critical thinker, be willing to learn through trial and error, be self-motivated, and be willing to put in the full effort towards the task at hand

+ The candidate should have a strong desire to grow and advance as an engineer

What You'll Bring:

+ Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution

+ 2-4 years of experience in site or roadway engineering

+ Familiarity with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling software is preferred

+ Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D preferred

+ EIT Preferred

+ Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

Salary Range:

75,000.00 - 85,000.00
