About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee multiple small to medium-sized projects on a university campus. This role is hands-on and focused on field coordination, subcontractor management, and ensuring quality construction delivery. Projects include renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and lighting improvements.
The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of construction processes, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple trades on-site while maintaining schedule and budget compliance.
Key Responsibilities
+ Direct and supervise 10–15 concurrent projects from mobilization through close-out.
+ Manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and safety standards.
+ Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with plans and specifications.
+ Review construction drawings and resolve field conflicts promptly.
+ Coordinate with university representatives, inspectors, and regulatory agencies.
+ Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and cost tracking.
+ Oversee procurement of materials and ensure timely delivery to job sites.
+ Enforce safety protocols and compliance with OSHA and campus standards.
Qualifications
+ 10–15 years of experience in construction management, general contracting, or field supervision.
+ Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
+ Proven experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades.
+ Solid understanding of scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
+ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
+ Familiarity with institutional or campus projects preferred.
+ Proficiency in construction management software and MS Office Suite.
+ Ability to work on-site full-time (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) at the university campus.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Pomona, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
