Job Title: Senior Water/Wastewater Project EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to lead and manage water and wastewater infrastructure projects from their conceptual phases through to construction. This role requires a dynamic individual who can effectively oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while also serving as both a project engineer and manager.

Responsibilities

+ Manage water and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept to completion.

+ Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.

+ Serve as both project engineer and project manager based on project needs.

+ Supervise and mentor junior engineers and project engineers to enhance their technical skills.

+ Coordinate directly with clients, subconsultants, and stakeholders.

+ Develop design documents and construction drawings.

+ Contribute to quality assurance and quality control processes and ensure compliance with project standards.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.

+ 5-15 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering.

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD.

+ Strong project management skills.

+ Ability to work effectively in a lean, flat-structure organization.

+ Experience with water and wastewater systems, including pipeline hydraulics and mechanical piping layouts.

+ California PE license (preferred but not required).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with ArcGIS or hydraulic modeling software.

+ Background in municipal infrastructure or experience at a large civil firm.

+ Familiarity with permitting processes and technical documentation.

The role demands flexibility and adaptability, as it involves working directly with a variety of clients and stakeholders to ensure project success. Dress code is business casual.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $150000.00/hr.
