Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Job Description
The LPN is an integral part of the clinical team, primarily responsible for providing safe, evidence-based care for patients. This role offers exceptional support and anticipates the needs of both clinicians and patients.
Responsibilities
+ Monitor, document, and communicate patients’ vital statistics and measurements.
+ Observe and note any physical or emotional changes in patients.
+ Prepare examination rooms for patient visits.
+ Select, prepare, and manage medical supplies and equipment.
+ Ensure the patient environment is comfortable, organized, safe, and hygienic.
+ Maintain accurate records of patient information.
+ Prepare patients for follow-up care post-treatment.
+ Guide and educate other LPNs as needed.
+ Serve as a knowledgeable resource on nursing-related issues.
+ Organize and manage scheduling for patients and necessary medical tests.
Essential Skills
+ Proven capability to thrive in dynamic, multi-specialty medical settings and various locations.
+ LPN License in the state of Connecticut.
+ Attendance and reliability.
+ EPIC experience.
+ 1-2 years of medical office experience.
+ Skills in triage, care management, and patient care.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong communication skills.
+ Experience in a medical office setting.
Work Environment
The LPN will work in a multispecialty building, floating between specialty teams and collaborating closely with Yale New Haven Health employees. The schedule is generally 37.5 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime, and may require coming in early or staying later as needed. The role involves working in a collaborative, innovative environment focused on advancing medicine, with opportunities for professional growth and development.

This is a Contract position based out of New Haven, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
