About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join a dynamic academic institution and oversee a portfolio of small to medium-sized projects. This role offers the opportunity to manage renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and lighting improvements that directly enhance the campus experience for students and faculty.

The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. You will serve as the primary point of contact for multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with university standards.

Key Responsibilities

+ Manage 10–15 concurrent projects from planning through close-out, including renovations, infrastructure, and lighting upgrades.

+ Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation.

+ Coordinate with campus stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth execution.

+ Oversee subcontractor performance, including scheduling, quality control, and adherence to safety standards.

+ Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.

+ Handle permitting processes and ensure projects meet institutional and regulatory requirements.

+ Provide clear, consistent communication and status updates to leadership and stakeholders.

+ Resolve issues proactively to minimize delays and cost overruns.

Qualifications

+ 10–15 years of experience in project management within construction, architecture, or real estate development.

+ Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.

+ Proven track record of managing budgets and delivering projects through close-out.

+ Strong understanding of construction processes, subcontractor coordination, and scheduling.

+ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to work with diverse teams.

+ Familiarity with renovation and infrastructure projects in institutional or campus settings preferred.

+ Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office Suite.

+ Ability to work on-site full-time (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) at the university campus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Pomona, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
