    Job Description

    The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining all industrial equipment and ensuring its optimal performance. This role involves performing both preventative and predictive maintenance to troubleshoot and resolve any equipment issues. The mechanic will ensure that converting equipment and lines operate continuously and participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives. Additionally, they will perform all necessary repairs and implement technical solutions.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform maintenance on all industrial equipment including conveyors, photo eye sensors, packaging equipment, labelers, and cappers.

    + Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance tasks.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment to ensure continuous operation.

    + Participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives.

    + Perform repairs and implement technical solutions.

    + Utilize precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.

    + Experience in conveyor maintenance and working with motors.

    + 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and 3-phase motors.

    + Comfortable with changeovers, setups, fillers, pumps, and valves.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Previous experience in a GMP or Food Manufacturing environment is a plus.

    + Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and conduct preventive maintenance.

    + Electrical skills are advantageous.

    + Must have a high school diploma or GED.

    + Preferably 3+ years of experience working in a GMP environment.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, TN.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
